Overview

The following information covers the components of the EasyBases system.

EasyFrame Aluminium profiles criss-cross the base to support the building floor, typically a wooden shed floor. Additional feet can be added at intersections for larger installations or load bearing.

The base sizes are available from 4’x4′ up to 20’x20′

EasyFrames can be supported on bricks, blocks or groundscrews but getting groundscrews to the same height, essential for a level building, can be tricky.

We recommend our levelling feet as shown in the illustrations. These truncated pyramid feet come from steel stillage components and will take a load of over a ton. Alternatively we have thick Aluminum plates that won’t rust and takes the floor level lower.

The grass background has been used in our photographs so that the elements of the EasyFrame are easily distinguishable. However, if the EasyFrame is to be placed on soft ground/grass then some form of groundscrew (which we have) is recommended. Groundscrews by themselves are not recommended. We have used ground screws in the past but inserting them is not that easy nor is levelling them with a building on top. However, using them as a flat plate on which to plant our feet gives accurate levelling with little chance of the foot sinking. The siting of our feet is not critical and the two metal parts (the top of the groundscrew and Aluminium foot) are easily joined so that our base doesn’t move sideways.

And now for a closer look at the feet.

The weight of the frame and building is transmitted down an M12 bolt which features a height adjustment nut for accurate levelling of the base frame and floor. Additional feet can be fitted in the event that the building is used to house heavier items at a later date. Such additional feet can be fitted at any time into the underside of the frame without dismantling any part of the frame or building.

These feet can be placed anywhere along the frame edge and wherever the profiles cross inside the outer frame. The nut shown in the picture below enables the height adjustment to be easily carried out.
